There are several different types of machines in the heavy equipment industry. Some are bigger than others and some have more capabilities than the others. In order to be a truly successful operator of the heavy equipment, you must be skilled, trained and experienced on multiple machines. At HCA, you will be trained on several machines. Some machines are operated in similar ways while others are more difficult. Three machines that are very much alike include the backhoe, loader, and excavator.
The tree machines are very much alike in ways but are also very different in other ways. When you have been trained as an operator on all three, you will have no problem switching back and forth. While the jobs that are done with the backhoe and excavator are the same, their actual operation and functioning is very different. They have different mechanism that enables them to be driven. Even the similarities between backhoes and loaders are there but not fully. At HCA you will learn in depth about each of these machines and what separates them from one another.
If you have not been properly trained on watch specific machine, you may have trouble maneuvering them. It is important when looking into a training program that you choose one with a lot of hands on training. At HCA, the on the field training will prepare you for a position as an operator in the best ways possible. As you learn, you skill level and confidence in what you do will grow and you will be successful in the heavy equipment industry.
